What to expect when you go for treatment….
Ghislaine will want to ask you a long list of questions. Please be patient with her even if the questions don’t seem to have anything to do with the reason you’re coming for treatment! The more accurate the information you can give her, the better able she can tailor the treatment for you. This is all part of the holistic approach. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.
You will then be asked to lie down on the treatment couch (or sit up if this is uncomfortable for you). Ghislaine will want to take your pulses in 3 places on each wrist and look at your tongue. All of these aspects of the consultation enable Ghislaine to gather a full picture of your individual case. Then she will decide which points she will use for your first treatment.
The needles often stay in place for approximately 20 mins when it is best if you can relax as much as possible.
Of course you must say if at any time you feel uncomfortable. As the needles are inserted, you may feel a slight sensation. Some people describe a fuzzy feeling, or an ache, but these usually wear off very quickly. At other times you won’t feel anything. There is no right or wrong but any discomfort and the needles can be quickly removed (although this is highly unlikely and rarely happens).
Please allow up to an hour and a half for your first treatment. For subsequent sessions, up to 50 mins should be long enough. It is best to wear loose clothing if possible. It will usually take more than one session to solve your problem, so please don’t expect all symptoms to disappear straight away. It will be helpful to be patient and positive. After 6 to 8 sessions we will review your progress and decide how to proceed.
